It depends on how much sightseeing and shopping you want to do. When I first moved here and was sleeping on couches, I think I ate for less than $5 a day.
If you’re not into shopping/souvenirs/sightseeing stuff and only food, I’d budget $30 a day.
Thats more then enough. I was going to say if you are really trying to budget and be cheap, try $100 a week for food. But since you have the means to spend more then the average person would, even a New Yorker, by all means $100 will give you a good time, a real good time.
you can do $100 a day for food and things, but triple that for a room.
